Stops water in less than 2 minutes! HYDROLOK™ Injection Gel reacts quickly with water to form a permanent
rigid foam. The gel time is approximately 90 seconds after contact with moisture. When HYDROLOK™
injection Gel combines with the leaking water, the water reacts with the gel to form a rigid foam.
HYDROLOK™ Injection Gel is capable of reacting with large amounts of water to stop the leak. HYDROLOK™
Injection Gel will adheres well to brick, stone, concrete, cinder block, stucco, wood, metal, and more.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HYDRALOK INJECTION GEL is hydrophilic (water absorbing) during its reaction time, and becomes hydrophobic (water resisting) after its reaction time. It reacts quickly with water to form permanent, rigid foam. The gel-time is approximately 90 seconds after contact with moisture. HYDRALOK INJECTION GEL is capable of reacting with large amounts of water, thereby waterproofing leaking concrete/masonry cracks. HYDRALOK INJECTION GEL has excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates such as brick, stone, concrete, cinder block, stucco, wood, metal, and more.
USES
HYDRALOK INJECTION GEL stops water leaks in basements, storm shelters, tunnel areas, storm sewers, concrete holding ponds, pipe intrusions, manholes, utility boxes, bridge decks, parking decks, below grade storage vaults, and more.
APPLICATION EQUIPMENT
HYDRALOK INJECTION GEL is packaged in 300 ml. X 300 ml. two-component cartridges designed specifically for use with either manual or pneumatic dual component caulking guns. HYDRALOK INJECTION GEL contains a catalyst that is reactive with moisture. Therefore, the container should remain sealed until time of use.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Any oils, fats, greases, and/or other contaminants must be removed prior to application. Make sure substrate is free of all loose materials, dust, or debris. Be sure substrate is above the minimum application temperature requirements.
APPLICATION
If water leak is not active, fill empty barrel with water. If water leak is active, leave empty barrel empty. HydraLok Injection Gel mixes with the active water leak to react. Hammer drill a ½ inch hole directly on the top of the crack. Drill hole through the concrete. Insert cartridge into caulk gun and hold in upright position. Open tip. Force cartridge tip into ½ inch hold and apply even pressure with hand caulk or trigger pneumatic gun in order to discharge all material. Let material react for 3 minutes. If water is still coming out of area, repeat process. As material reacts with water in the crack and begins to set up, work down the crack line to where water is coming in, and repeat entire process. If water continues to come out of the ½ inch hole, cut a piece of cheese cloth and soak it in a small amount of HYDRALOK INJECTION GEL. Then using a screwdriver, tamp the cheese cloth into the hole until the leak stops.
